“King Joe” Represents More Than Just The Plumbers! Watch The Video!

Man Scared To Be Labeled As Anti-American

Man Scared To Be Labeled As Anti-American

I feel like I have travelled through a time warp! What the hell is really going on? I posted this video of the cartoon representation of the all-American working man called “King Joe“. He comes from the era of McCarthyism . This is the pro-American” propaganda film that I believe gave birth to this century’s “King Joe“! That would be “Joe The Plumber” who has gained fame as the poster boy for working class Americans. Are we hearkening back to the olden days where everyone who wasn’t clearly a Republican was a communist? Check out this piece from a writer who is from that era : http://www.huffingtonpost.com/james-love/mccarthyism-with-lipstick_b_133191.html

Yesterday, Sarah Palin made a controversial statement that I consider to be divisive. She said that certain parts of the country are “pro-American“. C’mon, gal! That is a ridiculous statement! Only certain people are anti-American. I didn’t realize all folks from small towns were pro-American. Remember Timothy McVeigh? He was the one of the perpetrators of the Oklahoma City bombings. He was a small-town guy who joined the military & was a member of the NRA. He was a registered Republican who later identified with the Libertarian Party, although they denounced him. He was opposed to liberals & identified with the views of the extreme right. He definitely thought that he was pro-American. But, he committed one of the worst terrorist acts before 9/11. He felt that he was protecting the constitution & destroying the all-consuming government. In his mind, the government was anti-American.

This is a quote from Timothy McVeigh that I found on wikipedia.org,
The government is afraid of the guns people have because they have to have control of the people at all times. Once you take away the guns, you can do anything to the people. You give them an inch and they take a mile. I believe we are slowly turning into a socialist government. The government is continually growing bigger and more powerful, and the people need to prepare to defend themselves against government control.” (end quote)

Check out this next passage from wikipedia.org,
Various speculations have suggested that “the government” was involved in a conspiracy behind the bombing, or that the government planned the attack as a false flag operation in order to justify persecuting right-wing organizations.”(end quote)

Sarah Palin must really be naive of just how extreme some folks are that call themselves “pro-American.” That is why I used Timothy McVeigh to illustrate my point. But, wait a minute, guys! Wasn’t she involved with the Alaska Independence Party which some describe as a fringe SECESSIONIST movement? SO MUCH FOR THE RED, WHITE, & BLUE! Read more about it here: (http://tpmelectioncentral.talkingpointsmemo.com/2008/09/sarah_palin_and_the_alaska_ind.php

All of this talk about socialism is very, very scary. It is eerily similar to what I had hoped was a bygone epoch! It is simply history repeating itself. We’ve already had a “King Joe” during the anti-communism era or the McCarthy era. In the 21st century, King Joe has morphed into “Joe The Plumber“! Now we know where this idea came from. And now we know we have officially entered the “Time Machine”. My question is, does reform mean using the same tactics as another Republican from the 1950’s? Is it Senator McCain or Senator McCarthy? I thought we were done with the old kind of divisive politics! Words like this can give rise to the worst kind of extremism. I think it really is time to bring in a change agent after all. It’s all about PROGRESSION NOT REGRESSION! As Americans, we should all be insulted by these discordant statements that Sarah Palin made. They were very unpatriotic, indeed! We are one nation that is striving for unity in a multicultural society. Let’s reach our goal, America!

An African American Woman is One of the Most Powerful Women In The WORLD

http://www.forbes.com/lists/2006/11/06women_Condoleezza-Rice_MTNG.htmlI  You will have to click on to the video link in order to view it. I have also included a link to an article in Forbes magazine that listed 100 of the most powerful women in the world. The second woman on the list was Condoleezza Rice. As if you didn’t know, she is a 51-year old african american woman who advises George Bush regularly. She has a major role in his cabinet as the Secretary of State. This woman handles foreign affairs & has a very distinguished career. Her involvement in this administration may taint her accomplishments in the public’s eyes.  In fact as this video demonstrates, she is detested by many because of the war in Iraq. But she has achieved a lot & has paved the way for Barack Obama to be taken seriously as a presidential candidate. After all, she has proven that blacks are able to play the game of politics just as well as whites.

The view of blacks may still be negative & there is much to be done if that is to be corrected. Whether you like her or not, Condoleezza Rice has elevated the views towards blacks worldwide. She is noted in Forbes magazine as being “America’s top diplomat“.  Unfortunately, she was mentioned on MSNBC today as being a war criminal that should be prosecuted for violating the Geneva convention. It seems to me like Condoleezza Rice & Colin Powell were among the many that were used as proxies for President George Bush. If his administration should be prosecuted, then the president’s fate should be much more severe. Since I am not privy to all of the facts, I won’t be so quick to condemn her. I will commend her for obtaining one of the most powerful positions in the world. Believe me, she broke a lot of glass ceilings which benefited Hilary Clinton as well. Who knows if America is ready for a black or female president? I think that she prepared the country for that to be a possibility. In Condoleezza Rice, America got to see the potential for a black female president. For that, you have to give her props! The fact that those of african descent are making measurable progress is one of the greatest things about America!
