She is an iconic blond who was also a brave,beautiful thespian.Farrah Fawcett was no Pamela Anderson,that’s for sure. The Texan girl had the quintessential California girl look & a heck of a lot of talent to go with it!
Farrah Fawcett had the ability to immerse herself into a role & become a different person.Many witnessed her do just that in the movie “The Burning Bed”.
Her bravery was put on camera when she told “Farrah’s Story“.Those who watched were let into her personal battle with anal cancer.It was brutally honest,open,& frank.Unfortunately,Farrah Fawcett lost her fight with cancer this morning.
At the age of 62,Farrah Fawcett has joined a heavenly cast of angels.She will be sorely missed by her fans & family.Here’s more from The Telegraph:
“Her longtime partner, Ryan O’Neal, said she died in her hospital bed in Los Angeles after being admitted earlier this week.
“After a long and brave battle with cancer, our beloved Farrah has passed away.”
Although this is an extremely difficult time for her family and friends, we take comfort in the beautiful times that we shared with Farrah over the years and the knowledge that her life brought joy to so many people around the world,” O’Neal said in a statement.
The actress, 62, was diagnosed with rectal cancer in 2006 and had surgery to remove a tumour.A year later she discovered the cancer had returned and despite experimental treatment in Germany it spread to her liver.
Fawcett and O’Neal, who announced they were due to marry in a death bed ceremony earlier this week, have been together since 1982 and O’Neal has been a constant presence by her side as she battles a very public battle with cancer.
Her fight had been the focus of a moving documentary, Farah’s Story, released just weeks before her death and watched by over nine million people.In an interview on US TV, O’Neal talked about Fawcett’s deteriorating condition.
