The Tea Party Anti-Tax Protest!

As long as you really just want fairness for the American people, then you should protest the “bailouts” that both parties are responsible for giving. But if your anger is directed solely at President Obama, then I question how fair you are being. I mean,I did not see one George Bush sign at these protests today. Please leave a comment with a link if you can find one sign with George Bush on it! I googled it & I could only come up with Obama signs. If you are really protesting against the bailouts, then where are the Bush signs?!!

So, if you were at a tea party today, let me pose this question to you. Was any of your disgust directed at the Republican party & George Bush? Here’s the reason why it should have been from The Atlantic:

Americans for Prosperity says it mostly wants to call attention to Obama’s economic policies; ostensibly, at least, it does not have broader designs for the conservative movement or the size of its own e-mail list.

“We just think it’s a great opportunity for average Americans to show up and make our voices heard,” spokesman Erik Telford told me.

All three groups acknowledge that the reported energy behind the tea party movement doesn’t have a particularly narrow focus. They’re protesting the stimulus, the budget, the financial bailout (signed by President Bush), and more, they say. They also acknowledge that some will show up not out of economic rage, but out of pure opposition to Obama.

When Fox News’s cameras start rolling on Wednesday, we will finally find out what the movement consists of. The only problem is the Heisenberg effect of Fox’s cameras.”(End of Excerpt) Read the rest here.

First & foremost,we know that the bailout madness & spending craze took place under George Bush. And that he left an economic catastrophe for President Obama. So,make sure you place the blame where it really lies. And that would be with both the Republican & Democratic parties.I just wonder why this urge to revolt against the government is happening now.

This is really a protest against President Obama for some of the people attending these “tea parties“.No matter what Fox News claims, this is definitely has a partisan feel to me.Especially when Glenn Beck,Neil Cavuto,& countless others from the Fox network have decided to do more than cover these events.

They have been gleefully promoting the acts that are performing at the protests & giving the whole thing a celebratory feel!Over at the Fox network, they couldn’t wait for “Tea Party Day” to get here! Here’s more on that from Canada.com:

“Rising popularity in the polls for Obama, a strengthening economy, and the unfortunate choice of name for the movement (“tea-bagging” is slang for a sexual act) are considered the prime reasons for the failure of the event, but recent exposure of the groups behind the protests also drove some away.

In the days leading up to the supposedly grassroots event, the New York Times’ Paul Krugman noted, “a key role is being played by FreedomWorks, an organization run by Richard Armey, the former House majority leader, and supported by the usual group of right-wing billionaires. And the parties are, of course, being promoted heavily by Fox News.

The involvement of a news channel in promoting a partisan event has caused many to give the political tilt of Fox News a second look.In the lead-up to the event, Fox News featured nine segments and 40 promos over just two days, according to the watchdog website Media Matters.

Over a one-week period, 10 in-show promos were given by Fox presenter Sean Hannity, while Neil Cavuto and Glenn Beck delivered five each. Cavuto did seven news segments on the event. All Fox News shows featured commercials advertising the protests during that time, and they were regularly described as “FNC (Fox News Channel) Tax Day Tea Parties” by on-air personalities.

Fox News anchor Cody Willard, reporting from one of the protests, even went so far as to say on the air, “Guys, when are we going to wake up and start fighting the fascism that seems to be permeating this country?”

In yet another tea-bag day controversy, Fox anchor Cavuto was captured on an open microphone discussing the crowd numbers with an on-location producer, estimating the turnout at 5,000 people. But minutes later Cavuto told viewers that “They were expecting 5,000 here, it’s got to be easily double, if not triple that.”(End of Excerpt) Read the rest here.

Fox News needs to stop claiming that they are “fair & balanced”. Because that is a damn joke!
