Flight 3407 didn’t have the miraculous ending that the plane that went down in the Hudson River did.Everybody on the commuter plane that crashed into a house in Buffalo,NY have perished. There were 50 deaths in that tragic plane crash. One of the victims was a 9/11 widow who was instrumental in getting President Bush to form the 9/11 commission.Beverly Eckert refused to take any money from the 9/11 victim’s compensation because she felt that the government just wanted to silence her! Here’s more on Beverly Eckert from the NY Daily News:
Eckert, 57, was traveling to her hometown, Buffalo, to celebrate what would have been Rooney’s 58th birthday. They were high school sweethearts and tops on Eckert’s agenda was presenting a scholarship at Canisius High School that she established in Sean’s honor.A week earlier, Eckert was among the relatives of those killed in the Sept. 11 attacks and the bombing of the USS Cole who met with Obama at the White House.Eckert, co-chairwoman of “Voices of Sept. 11,” had pushed for a formal commission to investigate the intelligence failures that led to the attacks. She also wanted to know how the new President would prevent terror attacks and handle terror suspects.“She was such an important part of all of our work,” said Mary Fetchet, another 9/11 family activist whose son, Brad, was killed in that attack. The willowy blond’s tale of how she was on the phone with her husband just before he died was one of the most wrenching to emerge from the Sept. 11 tragedy. An insurance executive, Rooney called his wife just after the south tower was hit, trapping him and thousands inside.”We spoke together until the building went down,” Eckert said in a recent interview. “He faced death with an awesome amount of courage.”Eckert became one of the leaders of the grieving family organizations that demanded answers and reforms from the Bush administration. While many of the relatives refused to cry in public, Eckert let tears flow as she roamed the halls of Congress and shamed elected officials into acting. In 2004, Eckert and the others finally forced lawmakers to pass sweeping reforms of the U.S. intelligence services. Then Eckert went home and tried to return to a normal life.”I did all of this for Sean’s memory, I did it for him,” she said. “I just wanted Sean to come home from work. Maybe now, someone else’s Sean will get to come home.”(End of Excerpt) Read the whole article here.
Now, I like conspiracy theories and all,but there is nothing “fishy” about this plane crash. All we know is that the weather conditions were really bad & that probably caused the plane to nosedive into someone’s house. There are some kooks out there who are trying to make a connection between Beverly Eckert’s meeting with President Obama & her death in this plane crash a week later. These loons have suggested that President Obama wanted to silence her because of her concentration on improving U.S intelligence. You should question your sanity if you believe that this tragedy had nefarious origins.
I’ve also heard people talking against Ann Coulter as if she were involved in this tragedy. No matter how much disdain you have for her & what she said about the 9/11 widows, I hope that these folks don’t truly believe that she’s happy about Beverly Eckert’s death. And I really am worried about you if you think that our new president killed 50 people just to get a woman because she stood with the USS Cole & 9/11 family members who are opposed to the closing of Guantanamo Bay! Find a new conspiracy theory! News reports suggest that ice was the likely cause.
Here’s the president speaking about this awful tragedy that he had nothing to do with.President Obama mourns the victims just as the rest of the sane members of the world are doing. All of you conspiracy theorists should follow suit!Vodpod videos no longer available.
