***POST UPDATED AUG. 21:
A reader pointed out that I had another person’s birth certificate posted instead of the one that is in dispute. Since I do not possess Barack Obama’s real birth certificate anyway,I won’t beat myself up over it.And if you are one of those birthers,it probably didn’t matter what birth certificate accompanied this post. Those who don’t believe that Barack Obama is a natural born U.S. citizen will continue with their beliefs. But,thanks for the heads up on this one, Mike from Louisiana!
Here is a scanned copy of Barack Obama’s Birth Certificate. Now, those who want to insist that this is an urgent matter must let this red herring go. There seems to be a lot of animosity towards the President-Elect. What about the lame duck President Bush? People seem to be oblivious to the fact that we have lost over 500,000 jobs last month alone! Henry Paulson & George Bush should have the ire of all patriotic people because they have helped to derail the progression of America. There are so many folks who have been put into the poor house under the Bush administration. Where’s the outrage over the fact that George Bush is moving into a $2 million home after so many of us are losing our homes? But, somehow we are consumed with questions about the incoming president? Is he a Muslim? Is he a U.S. citizen? But, we seem to be letting George Bush fall by the wayside on so many issues! For instance, take the issue of war crimes. Here’s more from The Times Online:
And that is where the story becomes interesting. The Bush administration denies any illegality at all, insists it does not “torture” but refuses to say whether it believes waterboarding is torture or not. But hundreds of hours of videotape were recorded of Zubaydah’s incarceration and torture. That evidence would settle the dispute over the extremely serious question of whether the president of the United States authorised war crimes.
And now we have found out that all the tapes have been destroyed.
See what I mean by Hollywood? We know about the destruction because someone in the government told The New York Times. We also know the 9/11 Commission had asked the administration to furnish every piece of relevant evidence with respect to Zubaydah’s interrogation and was not told about the tapes. We know also that four senior aides to Bush and Dick Cheney, the vice-president, discussed the destruction of the tapes – including David Addington, Cheney’s right-hand man and the chief legal architect of the administration’s detention and interrogation policies.”(End of Excerpt) Read the entire article here:(http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/news/world/us_and_americas/article3086937.ece
