Veteran’s Day is an American tradition that celebrates the anniversary of the signing of the Armistice that ended World War I in 1918. Most Americans have either served in the military themselves or have known someone that has. This is the day that is reserved for you to pay tribute to the living & deceased soldiers. Since most of the men in my life have been in the military, I know that they appreciate this day. They just wish that they were honored for more than just one day. All of the veterans that I know have voiced the same concerns about the military. When they complete their service, it is hard for them to find work & good healthcare. The treatment of veterans really needs to be improved. We should do more for those who are willing to put their lives on the line for our country. They should be able to obtain good health care & employment once they are a civilian. Let’s honor the veterans by assuring that they are protected when they are out of the military.
