The Rules of Engagement star is teaming up with Operation Helmet to provide 3,000 blast- and impact-protecting helmet pads to U.S. combat troops.
Spade donated more than $100,000 to provide the funds necessary for the helmet upgrades being issued to soldiers. According to Dr. Bob Meaders, the founder and president of Operation Helmet, the current military-grade helmet pads caused pain, discomfort and headaches.
